The Sacrifice of God is the Human WIll

What is the burnt offering in reality?

Really, when you boil the burnt offering down to it's meaning, what are we offering? In actuality it is the human will. The sacrifice of God is to do His will over our own will and to delight in doing so. Psalm 40: 6 "Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. 7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, 8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart." To fully surrender our will to His, this is the whole burnt offering, to literally surrender every area! Generally, even in redeemed mankind is a little reserve, areas where one does not surrender to His will and this is generally the origins of many of mans struggles. Now to be fair, one may not always be conscious of an area of reservation or it may not be a conscious attempt to subvert God and chose our own way. No, at times one is just as oblivious to this as they might be for some other blind spot. At times men and women are not delivered right away and have certain struggles because of some area that is not fully surrendered to Him; therefore, He allows the conflict to exist until one is ready to cry out to God and surrender afresh. God is working in us to bring us to this place: I delight to do..."THY WILL". In order for this work to be accomplished we must meet with him and resign "MY WILL". We need the invasion of the Holy Spirit in our hearts to deal with us and point out to us secret and presumptuous sins... Psalm 19:12 "Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression."
